Créé en 1991, Powertip s'est rapidement développé pour être reconnu comme un des leaders mondial sur son marché. Aujourd'hui, le fabricant réalise un chiffre d’affaires de plus de 160MUSD et emploie environ 3300 personnes dans ses usines de Taiwan et de Chine. Le fabricant est devenu un expert des solutions monochromes customisées et oriente sa recherche et développement sur des solutions innovantes technologiques telle que le FS LCD (Fast Sequency Liquide cristal display).
Avec un total de 90 200m2 dédié à la production, Powertip est entièrement équipé pour gérer les besoins du marché Chip-on Glass (COG), Chip-On-Film (COF), Tape-Automatic-Bonding (TAB), Surface-Mount –Technology (SMT) et ainsi que l’industrialisation et la production de solutions semi-finies ou finies.
Powertip se positionne sur le marché des moyens formats TFT proposant du 3,5’’, 4,3’, 5,7’’ et 7’.Pour chacun de ces modèles, Powertip est capable de fournir des solutions concernant les applications extérieures en utilisant la technologie Optical Bonding. Ce procédé permet de réduire la reflectance et ainsi d’augmenter la lisibilité lorsque l’écran est confronté à une source de lumière.
